Arcata House Partnership has just received several large federal grants and is expanding its services. We are looking for a few people dedicated to serving the homeless in our area. The following positions are available:
-Case Manager for the Permanent Supportive Housing program. The Case Manager will work with chronically homeless and disabled people to find and maintain housing in the community. You will provide life skills education, help people apply for and maintain mainstream benefits, and provide other duties that will support people to be successful in their new homes.
-Site Manager/Case Manager for the Adult Shelter program. The Site Manager/Case Manager will work with people who are homeless to live in a 20 bed shelter. You will interview, select and house people in a congregate living situation, provide life skill education, maintain order while ensuring that meals are provided daily, people perform daily living tasks like showering and laundry, ensure that a robust activity schedule is available, and maintain a safe, calm place for people to live. You will assist people to obtain income, find housing and transition into a permanent place to live.
-Housing Support Workers -- Working with the Site/Case Manager to assist people living in the 20 bed shelter to complete their daily living tasks, participate in the activity schedule available, attend appointments and prepare for permanent housing. Weekday, week night and weekend positions available.
-Housing Specialist/Property Manager -- This position is fully accountable for all the day to day operations of our owned and rented properties. You will ensure that all HUD and funder rules and regulations are adhered to; ensure that the properties are rented to full capacity, ensure that monthly reports are completed, and be the primary contact for landlords, tenants and the community. You will work closely with Case Managers to ensure client housing needs are being met.
