Drop-in Services:

Available at the One-Stop Center in the Annex, 501 Ninth St. across from the Arcata Transit Station and next to the ball park. Appointment with case manager available upon request - call 707-633-6236.

Mobile Medical Clinic

The Open Door Mobile Medical Clinic offers free medical services on Thursdays on a drop-in basis at the Annex, 501 Ninth St., across from the Arcata Transit Station and next to the ball park.  

Hours: Thursday: 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm

Drop-in services are free.  No insurance is required. 

Weekday Sack Lunches:

Look for the “Lunch Box” truck at the corner of 14th and Union Streets in Arcata and various other locations throughout the community.  Distribution is Monday through Thursday at 11:15 a.m.

Information about CalFresh food program available.  Information about services at the One-Stop available.

Arcata Food Pantry:

Located at Trinity Baptist Church, 2450 Alliance Rd. in Arcata, access from the parking lot in front of the church.  

Hours: Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Sign up to receive a food box once a month.  Emergency food bags available in times of necessity.

Families With Children: Family Saturday Program

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Annex, 501 Ninth St. in Arcata.  If you are a family with children under 18 and living in your car, we are here to help. We can serve 5 families per Saturday.  Please call to reserve a space.  Contact staff at 707-633-6236.

We provide access to:

Regional Extreme Weather Shelter

Open on nights determined to be exceptionally stormy and/or cold by the National Weather Service. Look for the announcement on the sandwich board sign at the corner of Ninth and F Streets in front of the Ballpark entrance and check in at the Annex, 501 Ninth Street, or call 707-633-6236.

Clients receive a shower, clean clothing and bedding, and a meal before being welcomed by chaperones at a local church where they will spend the night.  In the morning, clients are returned to the Annex for coffee, breakfast and a sack lunch.

The 2018-2019 Regional Extreme Weather Shelter program will run from November 15, 2018 through March 15, 2019.
