Facing Federal Funding Cuts: An Update

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing housing and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness, we are committed to being a safety net for our community. Unfortunately, recent federal funding cuts are making it harder for us—and many organizations like ours—to continue serving at full capacity.

Over the past several months, we've had to make some incredibly difficult decisions. With the loss of $ 2.1 million in expected funding, we have had to adapt our operations. We’ve scaled back services, frozen open positions, and faced the heartbreaking reality of 16 staff layoffs. These cuts not only impact our team but, more importantly, the individuals and families who rely on us during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Despite these challenges, we want to be clear: we are still here, and we are still providing services. But to fit into this new funding landscape, we’ve had to be creative and strategic, focusing our limited resources where they’re needed most.

We’re asking for your understanding, your advocacy, and your continued support. Nonprofits are often the last line of defense for the most vulnerable in our community. Together, we must ensure that no one is left behind.

Let’s keep showing up—for each other, and for those who need us most.

How you can help:

  • Advocate for restored funding for homeless services

  • Support local nonprofits through donations or volunteering

  • Spread the word and stand with us in protecting vital community services

We thank you for standing with us through this challenging time.
