Family of 7 Graduates from AHP
While being housed, they stabilized as a family. The mother got a job, and they successfully paid off their debts, building their credit scores and working towards financial independence. Our Case Managers worked with the family to set goals and plan for their future. This April, they moved into their own place out of town and graduated from the PSH Program. They are clean, financially secure, and in the process of buying their first home.

Arcata House Partnership Granted $2.5 Million to Connect Humboldt County Families with Shelter and Critical Services
Arcata House Partnership, a provider of housing and supportive services for people experiencing homelessness, today announced that it has received a $2.5 million grant from Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez through the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund. This is the seventh year that the Day 1 Families Fund has awarded grants to organizations across the country that are leading the way to move the needle on family homelessness with the goal of ensuring that no child sleeps outside.

The tenant and I signed a standard rental agreement, including agreements about who would live in the house. I always get a rent check in the mail, without fail, by the first of every month, but I also get so much more.
