Many people in our community are facing the harsh reality of homelessness. As the weather changes and the days grow warmer, the need for essential items remains urgent. This March 28th, 2026, we invite you to turn a little luck into a lot of love by joining us for Share the Luck Donation Day. Together, we can support our neighbors experiencing homelessness by providing items that bring warmth, dignity, and care.

What Is Share the Luck Donation Day?

Share the Luck Donation Day is a monthly event where community members come together to donate essential goods for people in need. This year, the event will take place at the Annex One-stop, 501 9th Street Arcata, CA 95521, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 28th. It’s a simple way to make a big impact by giving items that help keep people warm, dry, and nourished.

Items We Are Collecting

We are currently collecting a variety of items that meet the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness. Your donations will directly support individuals by providing comfort and basic necessities. Here’s what we need most:

Long socks
Blankets
Rain gear
Hats and gloves
Individually wrapped snacks
Men’s jackets (Large and up)
Men’s pants (size 32 and up)
Men’s shirts (Large and up)
Women’s underwear (Small, Medium, Large)
Men’s underwear (Medium, Large)
Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner

We have a special need for men’s jackets, pants, sweatpants, underwear, and socks, as well as non-perishable snacks. These items help keep people warm during cold nights and provide nourishment throughout the day.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference

Each donated item has a real impact. For example, a warm jacket can protect someone from harsh weather, while a simple snack can provide energy and hope during a difficult day. By donating, you help restore dignity and comfort to people who often feel invisible.
